What is a stretchy wrap?
It is a strip of fabric specially made for baby carriers that wraps around the baby using knots.
AYU stretchy wraps are well-known for starting babywearing and serve as a transitional baby carrier. They are very soft!
Any brand of stretchy wrap (don't be fooled) will feel comfortable until a "rebound effect" starts to be felt. This happens approximately when the baby is around 9 kg. This is due to the material: cotton and spandex. And it's time to switch to a woven wrap (long walks are very pleasant with those we make from organic fabric, ideal for carrying little ones over 9 kg and for many more years to come).
If you decide to use it beyond that weight, restrict its use to shorter walks, with proper adjustment and knots with more than two layers that adequately support the baby's weight (it can stretch).
