What is a stretchy wrap?
It is a strip of fabric specially made for baby carriers that wraps around the baby using knots.
AYU stretchy wraps are famous for starting out babywearing and are like a transitional baby carrier. They are very soft!
Any brand of stretchy wrap (don't be fooled) will feel comfortable until a "rebound effect" starts to be felt. This happens approximately when the baby weighs around 9 kg. It is due to the material: Cotton and Spandex. And then it's time to switch to a woven wrap (long walks are very pleasant with those we make from organic fabric, ideal for carrying little ones weighing more than 9 kg and for many more years).
If you decide to use it beyond that weight, restrict its use to not-too-long walks, with proper adjustment and with knots of more than two layers that support the little one's weight well (it can stretch).
